JLF is a one-woman slow fashion brand based in Switzerland and created by me, Jennifer Lynn Farmer. I design and sew every piece of a collection myself, while trying to be as sustainable as I can in the way I work.

From concept to completion, here at JLF you can find exclusive romantic, classy and high fashion garments without having social or ecological concerns about the way they’ve been made and produced.

My aim – to give everyone the opportunity to dress ethically without missing out on style, individuality and class.

My concept is handmade-to-order – which means that every garment is especially made for you.

If you don’t order it, it doesn’t get made. There is almost no waste of material and no over-production.

My creative process embraces the designing, fabric sourcing, pattern making, cutting out, sewing, labelling, packaging and sending out of each individual item. As every item is 100% handmade with a passion for perfection, only limited quantities are available of each design.

All fabrics used to create my collections are sustainable in some way. For example:

The fashion industry produces more Co2 than flying and shipping combined. It has a negative impact on climate change, to which we all contribute with our over-consumption.

I truly believe that the fashion industry and the way we consume and think about clothing needs to change. That is why I’m trying my best to do my part and develop an alternative combining creativity, uniqueness and morality. My designs are timeless rather than trendy.

JLF should therefore also be seen as a place of inspiration and motivation. A place where you too can do your part in enhancing the mindset of our approach to the fashion system.
